How to Choose a 100 Gallon Fish Tank
When you look online, there are many different types of 100 gallon aquarium tanks to choose from. Not only do they come in a wide selection of prices, but they're not manufactured from only glass these days.
The Engineering
The more traditional kinds of 100 gallon aquarium tanks has a metal structural part which helps to hold the sheets of glass that help to make the aquarium stick together. Usually, the metal structural part for these types of tanks are made of either of angle metal or stainless steel, which are glued together at the edges of the frame and the glass will then slot into it. In order to keep water from dripping out of the aquarium fish tank, a putty aquarium substance is put in between the edges of the glass and the metal structural part. However, if these tanks are not put on a level surface then the structure can begin to bend and might end up in the glass cracking. Occasionally the framework of a 100 gallon aquarium tank can be produced from lumber, and normally plywood is put to use because it is much less likely to break apart if it interacts water.
Materials Utilized Today
Nowadays, most 100 gallon aquariums are being built from acrylic material. These types of 100 gallon aquarium tanks produced from this material may cost more in a few situations, but they weigh significantly less than glass constructed aquariums and are less likely to break.

Acrylic made fish tanks tend to be easier to cut or drill through for putting saltwater overflows or additional customized plumbing. Toughened glass can't be correctly drilled and non-tempered glass will need special drill bits or cutting gear.
Clarity
Acrylic aquariums are usually more effective display tanks mainly because of the thinner material and partly thanks to light refraction. The view is less distorted for the viewer as opposed to through glass.
Insulation
The greater insulation attributes of acrylic means that it can retain heat more effectively than a glass tank. This can be a positive thing for a tropical aquarium in the long term to keep electricity bills down.

Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc. Since you're saying they fill up too fast, try having 2 large cans if you have the space. We have a large family, I have 5 kids, and I have 2 large trash cans in the kitchen because we fill them up so fast. I got mine at Walmart, under $20.
